Ages 4–12

Juniors

Three separate groups, so a four-year-old is never in with a twelve-year-old. Kickboxing and boxing, taught at the pace of the age in the room.

Mini Warriors, 4–7 — 45 minutes, Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm and Saturday at 10am.
Young Warriors, 8–12 — an hour, Monday and Friday at 6pm and Saturday at 11am.
Boxing for kids, 6–12 — an hour, Monday and Wednesday at 5pm.

Coaching for children is built around supervision and matching the technique to the child, rather than running them through an adult class at half speed.

Ages 13+

Teens

From thirteen you train in the main sessions alongside the adults — same classes, same coaching, no separate teen room.

Kickboxing on Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm, boxing on Monday and Wednesday at 7pm, K1 on Tuesday and Friday at 8pm. Mixed-age sparring runs Friday at 7pm once you are ready for it.

Training with adults sounds like a lot at thirteen. In practice it is the quickest way to stop being treated like a kid, and the coaches pair people sensibly.

All Levels

Adults

Kickboxing, boxing and K1, four nights a week. Complete beginners and people who have been doing this for years are in the same room.

Kickboxing Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm, boxing Monday and Wednesday at 7pm, K1 Tuesday and Friday at 8pm, K1 sparring Thursday at 8pm, mixed-age sparring Friday at 7pm.

Classes run about an hour and are hard cardio whatever else you came for. Sparring is there when you want it and not before — plenty of members never take it up.

Ladies Only

A kickboxing class with no men in the room, for women who would rather start that way. Wednesday evenings.

Wednesday, 6pm to 7pm. Open to 16 and over, every ability, and run at the pace of whoever turns up rather than the fittest person there.

Fitness, technique and self-defence. Train here as long as you like — there is no expectation that you move across to the mixed classes.

About The Academy

A Fight Gym
That Lets You In.

Warriors Fight Academy runs kickboxing and K1 out of a unit on Norwood Road in Bordesley Green. It is a proper fight gym — a ring, a wall of bags, people who compete — and it is also where a four-year-old has their first lesson and where someone who has never thrown a punch starts on a Wednesday night.

Both of those are true at the same time, and that is the point. Children, adults and ladies of all ages, taught by coaches who have been doing this for years.
